This limited edition release was aged in first-fill bourbon barrels, and then finished in California port casks – infusing a rich color and complex sweet flavors to this lightly peated whisky. (45.2% ABV)
Color: a warming hot toddy
Nose: grandma’s strawberry hard candies, wisps of fresh oysters over the firepit, faded potpourri, Morton’s table salt, cherry swisher sweets
Palate:Â mixed berry preserves, sweet red licorice, steamed mussel broth, dry grass, sage brown butter, raw honeycomb
Finish: viscous, creamy, baked fruit cake, camphor, freshly ground white pepper, leaves burning from the firepit as the winter sun sets.
