Jester King Brewery – ‘Coolship Bloodbath’ Sour (16OZ)
This is a fun little beer we brewed on Doom Forge Day back in January. In honor of all things metal that day, we turned our coolship into a Kubrick-esque “bloodbath” by filling it with wort brewed with beets.
We cooled overnight, pitched our mixed culture, and primary fermented in a foudre. After about two months of maturation, we add Ethiopian Banko Taratu coffee (notes of strawberry, blueberry, and lime) from our friends at Figure 8 Coffee Roasters.
Coolship Bloodbath is a nice, tart, medium-strength beet and coffee farmhouse ale.
